Factory Manager / Production Manager
Planning, organizing, directing and running optimum day-to-day production operations to exceed customer expectation.
Increasing production, assets, capacity and flexibility whilst minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibility for production output, product quality and on-time finishing.
To drive continuous improvement and optimization of all production processes.
The incumbent will oversee all daily operations of the factory from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. The incumbent shall develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity.
1. Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to exceed the customers’ expectations of the production area:
1.1. Define work tasks for all workers individually or in groups, as necessary, based on the overall production plan; Tasks can be for a given day or even for a week;
1.2. Controls the production process execution times and quality or compliance with the engagement;
1.3. Determines - controls the conformity of instruments and their circulation, based on the tools available to the company. Ensure the correct use of the tools - orientates in the instructions for using the tools, prohibit the use of tools intended for any individual who is not appropriately trained to use them, nor assigned to use them for a particular duty / designation.
Controls the technical condition of the instruments, raises attention to the need for new or other tools to perform work / duties;
1.4. Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results;
1.5. Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus;
1.6. Monitor operations, trigger corrective measures, and follow them through.
1.7. Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop factory floor staff / team.
1.8. Commit to plant, machinery & equipment safety procedures;
2. Creates and determines the plans for the production area and controls the execution - draw up plans:
2.1. Work schedules;
2.2. For each job assignment, number of people, and resources required:
2.2.1 Production materials - required;
2.2.2 Drawings & technical information - required;
2.2.3 Tools - identify & acquire;
2.2.4 Determine: Workforce / People.
2.2.5 Identify any consumables required.

3. Controls - follow the work execution and quality:
3.1. Performs control of work within the framework of the production plans;
3.2 Control over the relevant workstations of the workshop;
3.3 Collect and analyse data to find places of waste, leakage, under activity or overtime
3.4. In the company’s early stages of development help to identify, improve and understand unplanned and potentially forgotten tasks;
3.5. Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
