Timber Frame Panel Production Supervisor

One of the UK’s leading modular building manufacturers has an exciting opportunity for a talented
Timber Frame Panel Production Supervisor to join our team based in Southampton.
Specialists in the design and build from single level houses till multi-story developments - size exceeding 10,000 sqm per project, we can produce almost any type and any size of residential buildings.
Due to growth, we are in need of an experienced Timber Frame Panel Production Foreman to join our talented team. We require someone who is able to start with minimal training, so previous experience using hand tools and within aspects of basic joinery, bench joinery, woodworking etc is essential.
The successful candidate will be involved in supervising and the smooth running of the timber framing station team at production facility based in Southampton SO40. The work will be based on a production line assisting with the assembly of timber frame panels and other related building materials.
About the Role:
Supervising, running and allocating day-to-day tasks to all framing station team members to include labour and tradespersons, working hands-on alongside them, actively managing the workforce and improving production levels on the assembly of timber frame panels and other related building materials.
Undertaking a range of trades as required, e.g. making and installing timber frame panels for walls, floors and roof panels.
Installing the sheeting and other related building materials, performing where necessary 1st & 2nd fix construction operations and manufacturing of modular units from panels.
Handling timber in all aspects of manufacturing, using woodworking machinery to fit and finish grips to handgun frames, etc.
Coordinating multiple jobs to achieve and exceed delivery requirements.
Constantly improving and exceeding quality of delivered units.
Monitoring worker performance, ensuring tasks carried out are within required productivity and quality, and in line with the drawings and technical information provided, exceeding the standard outlined where required.
Providing comprehensive workstation induction to all operatives ensuring H&S processes & procedures are fully understood and adhered to.
Experience using hand tools and within aspects of basic joinery / bench joinery / woodworking or other relevant practical experience (essential)
Experience of working on high-end residential projects, particular within the helm of general carpentry framing and 2nd fix experience (beneficial)
At least 3 years’ trades experience
Good organisational and time management skills
Good judgement in decision making
Understanding of ‘Quality Assurance’ principles
Can prioritise, plan effectively, and good overall time management skills
Able to use initiative and solve problems independently
