About the Role
We are looking for an experienced 2nd Fix Carpenter to join our growing modular construction team. This role focuses on the finishing stage of factory-built units, ensuring all visible carpentry elements are installed to a high standard before final handover. You will work in a fast-paced, quality-driven factory environment where precision and consistency are key.
Key Responsibilities
Install internal finishing elements including:
Doors, frames, and ironmongery
Skirting boards, architraves, and mouldings
Kitchen units, worktops, and fitted furniture
Window boards and finishing trims
Carry out final adjustments to ensure perfect fit and finish
Read and interpret drawings and specifications
Work to tight tolerances and high aesthetic standards
Conduct quality checks and snagging prior to completion
Use hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Coordinate with other trades (e.g., decorators, electricians, plumbers)
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Requirements
Proven experience as a 2nd Fix Carpenter or Finish Carpenter
Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
Ability to read technical drawings and plans
Skilled in installing fine carpentry and finishing components
Good knowledge of health & safety practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
